Australia is home to some of the highest ultraviolet (UV) levels in the world. As an educator or teacher, you play a vital role in preventing UV overexposure, building lifelong SunSmart habits and lowering staff and students’ skin cancer risk.

Who these online courses are for

We offer five unique versions of the course, designed for Victorian:

  • Early childhood educators
  • Primary school teachers or staff
  • Primary students (Grades 5–6)
  • Secondary school teachers or staff
  • Secondary school students (Years 9–10)

What you will learn

Teachers and educators who complete an online course will:

  • Build a stronger understanding of the dangers of UV overexposure and when everyone needs to use sun protection
  • Grow their confidence and capability to role-model sun safe behaviour in their school or early childhood service
  • Learn how to teach children and adolescents effective SunSmart habits

The student courses are age-appropriate, helping students understand when sun protection is needed and how to stay SunSmart when playing or learning outdoors.
