Use this checklist to review your SunSmart policy. Allow around 10 minutes to complete it.

Tick the boxes that apply to your current practices and attach or send a copy of your updated SunSmart policy. 

To progress through the application, all  questions need to be completed. If red text appears, please adjust your application response accordingly.

Please note this is for Victorian schools and services only.

Once we review your policy and responses, we will email an updated member certificate to confirm your renewed SunSmart membership.

Step 12 of 13SUNSMART MEMBER AGREEMENT

As a SunSmart Program member our school / service agrees to the following terms and conditions as set out in our original application and agreement with SunSmart:

  • To enforce our SunSmart policy as documented
  • To take reasonable steps to ensure that all staff, children and families are aware of the SunSmart policy and its requirements
  • To inform Cancer Council Victoria of any changes to the school / service's policy and practices and anything else that may relate to or affect its inclusion in the SunSmart Program

Step 13 of 13 Submit your policy

To complete your SunSmart membership renewal, please make sure we have a copy of your updated sun protection policy. This can be attached, emailed or posted. When all is checked, we will email an updated member certificate to confirm that your SunSmart membership has been renewed. This may take a few weeks to process.

SunSmart's online member listing

Would your school/service like their SunSmart membership to be publicly acknowledged and included in SunSmart’s online member listing? Please note: only current members who have recently joined or completed a SunSmart membership renewal within the last three years will be eligible to be listed.

By submitting this form, you acknowledge and agree on behalf of your school or service (Organisation) that the Organisation:

  • applies for publication on Cancer Council Victoria’s online listing of registered SunSmart members (SunSmart Listing) and Cancer Council Victoria (CCV) may approve or deny such application at its discretion;
  • consents to CCV publishing on the SunSmart Listing the Organisation’s name and logo, a link to the Organisation’s website, the year the Organisation joined SunSmart and the duration and due date for renewal of the Organisation’s membership; and
  • grants CCV a royalty-free licence to use the Organisation’s trade marks to the extent necessary to publish the Organisation’s information and logo on the SunSmart Listing.
