UV safety training for workers
Our training and education sessions help workers understand UV as an occupational health and safety (OHS) hazard. Each session covers UV risk assessment and reduction, as well as skin cancer prevention and early detection.
In-person sessions work best with up to 30 participants. For larger groups, we suggest booking multiple sessions for best engagement.

UV safety training session with skin damage viewer Read more
Our standard in-person training for outdoor workers, with the added impact of a skin damage viewer. This device shows participants the UV damage on their face and hands, which is a powerful motivator for sun protection habits.
Note: SunSmart does not offer a skin check service. The viewer shows visible sun damage and the protection sunscreen offers but cannot detect or diagnose skin cancer. It must be used indoors and requires access to power.
Time: 90 minutes (60 minutes training plus 30 minutes skin damage viewer). Allow 1–2 minutes per person in the viewer.

UV Safety Toolbox Talk Read more
An in-person session designed for construction workers but adaptable to other workplaces.
This format allows for maximum reach and minimal time away from work tasks. It includes a short 10–15 minute presentation on UV, how to protect yourself when working outdoors and checking for skin cancer. This is followed by Q&A and option to use the skin damage viewer.
Time: 60 minutes (10–15 minute talk plus 45–50 minute display, one-on-one Q&A opportunity and skin damage viewer). Allow 1–2 minutes per person in the viewer.
