To help address the higher rates of melanoma in regional Victorians, SunSmart is offering free UV Safety Training webinars and free in-person sessions for workplaces in the Loddon Mallee region.
Both the webinar and in-person session are one hour and cover how UV affects your health, how to protect yourself when outdoors and how to check for skin cancer.
The in-person sessions in Loddon Mallee are held at your workplace and are available in:
- Bendigo on Monday 29 April, Tuesday 30 April, Wednesday 1 May 2024
- Mildura on Tuesday 14 May, Wednesday 15 May, Thursday 16 May 2024

Outdoor workers receive up to 10 times more UV exposure than indoor workers. Help protect your workers or volunteers who may be exposed to the sun’s UV all year round. We encourage community organisations who have volunteers outdoors to apply.

The free offer is for workplaces in regional Victoria as defined by the Regional Development Victoria map.

We ask that you have a minimum number of 10 attendees at your session. If you have fewer than 10 employees and/or volunteers, please contact us to discuss options.

This offer expires on 14 June 2024 or when all available sessions are booked.

The free webinars must take place by 30 June 2024 and cannot be recorded.

Webinar attendees will be asked to provide a short evaluation of the session – this will take 1–2 minutes.
