These lessons, designed by SunSmart, are relevant for all secondary students. Throughout the lessons, references are made to skin cancer. Given Australia's high rate of skin cancer, there is a likelihood that one or more students will have direct or indirect experience with skin cancer. SunSmart advises teachers to be aware of possible student sensitivities around the content. Before commencing any of the lessons, teachers are advised to assess the ability of their classes to deal with the information presented and to seek assistance from a qualified professional if concerned about a student at any time.
